“Absences in the Videoarchive” is a third part of a series of interventions where invited guests from non-art disciplines reflect on the collection of audiovisual art in the Academy of Fine Arts VVP Videoarchive. Apart from the selection of films from this collection, they also focus on what pieces, artists and concepts are not represented in the archive with respect to the chosen topic. This time, the National Film Archive – in cooperation with Artyčok.TV and the Fotograf Festival – has collaborated with the ethnologist Markéta Spiritová who works at the Munich University and explores Remembrance Culture, migration and nationalism in the Central-European area. These research topics are the starting point of the presented programme of art films and videos.
The programme in collaboration with Markéta Spiritová was prepared by Markéta Mansfieldová, Lujza Kotočová and Alžběta Bačíková.
